When you think of 'yellow' you might think of bananas, sunflowers, rubber ducks or even a yellow submarine! I would like to encourage you instead to think of the Schuessler salt Calc sulph.

As part of my series on the Schuessler salts, my next post will be about Calcarea sulphurica. It is an ideal remedy for infections and particularly for 'yellows'.

Yellow acne also responds well to Calc sulph. Infections of the teeth or bone tissue? Calc sulph is an excellent choice. To put it plainly: Calc sulph can be given in combination with the indicated remedy (that is, the remedy that best matches the symptom picture of the present infection) for any infection.

Infected wounds certainly call for Calc sulph. If we are dealing with pus, discharge, abscesses or a wound that is not healing well, you should think of Calc sulph.

Suppose you've cut yourself. From previous experience you already know that you tend to be prone to infections and that this cut will probably become infected. It's worth thinking of Calc sulph at that moment, because it could prevent an infection.

I used to write often about the prophylactic use of Schuessler salts, but over time I have become somewhat more cautious. Many of my students and clients take several remedies at the same time for chronic conditions, and at a certain point you should keep an eye on the number of remedies you are taking.

But if you are certain that you are at risk of an infection, in my experience there are good reasons to act proactively.

But that's by no means all. Calc sulph can also nip a cold in the bud if taken right at the onset of the infection.

When my son was small, he was often plagued by sore throats that usually heralded a cold. The first few times I treated him with Belladonna, which didn't help him much.

The next time he had a sore throat, I gave him Calc sulph D6 immediately (by 'immediately' I mean the moment he told me he had a sore throat). It worked wonderfully and Calc sulph became our remedy of choice for my son's sore throats.

There are many other uses for Calc sulph, too many to describe here on my blog. You already know — all Schuessler salts are versatile and first-class remedies.
