Spectrum Homeopathy 03/2012

News

Despite the most advanced perinatal medicine, the process of adapting to a new life around the time of birth poses greater risks to body and soul for mother and child than most other stages of life.

Many doctors and midwives see homeopathy as a valuable corrective to technology-driven medicine. In the new issue of SPEKTRUM – "New Life: Perinatal Homeopathy" – the full range of homeopathic experience is presented, from acute prescribing through established indications to constitutional therapy.

The homeopathic materia medica for the perinatal period is impressively diverse and convincing in its effects: experienced gynaecologists and paediatricians such as Friedrich Graf, Heiner Frei, Richard Moskowitz, Ute Bullemer and Jacques Lamothe report from their extensive practices.

Homeopathy can also achieve remarkable results in traumatic stresses affecting mother and child and in early childhood regulatory disorders, as paediatrician Andreas Richter knows from his long practice. The issue of an incomplete incarnation of the newborn is described by Angelika Bolte and Jörg Wichmann in several cases throughout the entire perinatal process.

That the repertoire of proven remedies can be effectively expanded by classical repertorisation through the application of the Sensation method is demonstrated by paediatrician Anna Koller-Wilmking in 12 complicated case studies. Jürgen Weiland additionally points to the parallel energy patterns in mother and child during the perinatal period, which can often be recognised in a pure, unfiltered form and thus positively influenced.

Sensitive preterm infants, an increasingly common phenomenon worldwide, can also benefit from homeopathy, as feared and frequent late consequences can often be recognised and treated early. Paediatrician Didier Grandgeorge and neonatologist Bettina Baltacis report dramatic cases from practice. Even on the brink of survival, homeopathy can be surprisingly helpful here.
