She bears her grandmother's name: Rosemary Fall.

News

The patient is an 11-year-old girl with digestive complaints and behavioural disturbances. She takes laxatives and has haemorrhoids from straining too hard. She suffers from acid reflux and abdominal pain when she is tense. When she was four years old she had a discharge from her ears that ran down to her chin.

She is emotionally unstable, with calm phases and times when she is "completely off track" and impossible to manage. She simply will not listen - it is as if she were deaf. She has serious problems at school, cannot concentrate and jumps from one topic to another without finishing anything. All her schoolwork lies on the table and she does not know where to start.

She starts to cry when her parents ask her to do her homework. She is very restless and cannot sit still at all. When something has to be done quickly she panics. She is already upset about having to give a presentation at school in three months. She is very emotional. She has not yet processed the death of her grandmother three years ago. Sometimes she becomes very angry; at first she broods, then becomes very restless and quarrelsome and finally explodes, stamping her foot (DD Lamiaceae, Compositae).

Mother: "Pregnancy and delivery went well, except for my high blood pressure. As a baby she was sweet and good-natured. She only cried when she was pushed backwards in the pushchair. When her sister was born, we had a difficult time with many hospital stays, and her grandmother also became very ill at that time.
She felt pushed aside and left to her own devices (Lamiaceae). After that she became ill, and since then she has not found any restraint. She is either completely overexcited or totally blocked."

Often the parents have to be strict with her. She wants to make everything perfect, which of course is impossible, and then she says: "I can't do that!" When something does not go well for her, e.g. with a task or in a game, she stamps her foot and screams so loudly that her little sister is frightened. She sleeps well, but moves a lot and talks in her sleep (Lamiaceae). She is afraid of storms and easily panics. She is not at all shy and speaks very freely. She knows everything exactly and knows where everything can be found. She has no friends and is never invited to parties: "You're annoying, we don't want you."

Her parents gave her the forename of her grandmother, who died when she was still small. She knows everything about her grandmother and still owns the cuddly toy she was given by her. She often talks about the past and remembers earlier events exactly, which she can describe precisely. She is very certain about everything she says. She presents these things in an exaggerated way: "I tolerate no contradiction!", her voice expressive and a little reproachful.

Her mother sits by and looks tired, as if she has heard all this many times before.

Analysis

Features of the Lamiaceae in the present case:
Explosive, fiery reactions. Lack of group belonging. Restless, jumps around, rolls her eyes. She tests her mother and is keen to see if she will be caught out. She watches her mother closely to see whether she gets enough attention and affection and becomes reproachful and angry when she feels misunderstood. You can read her thoughts on her face, you recognise the tension in her body when she straightens up on the chair and raises her voice. She enjoys being right. She has large eyes and attempts to establish eye contact. On the other hand she can also be very introverted, but then her eyes seem all the more alive.

Because of the many features and the Lamiaceae atmosphere in her case, a remedy from this medicinal family was chosen. She is named after her grandmother and has a special relationship with her: when someone bears a grandparent's name, this plays an important role in the case and is an additional indication for the remedy Rosmarinus.
As we know, rosemary is "good for the memory". In homeopathy it is one of our "forgotten" remedies!

It corresponds to Stage 6: "Acting, proving oneself."
DD Glechoma (receives no attention), DD Collinsonia canadensis (constipation, haemorrhoids).

Prescription: Rosmarinus 1MK, single dose

After administration of the remedy she did well, especially at school. She was no longer so chaotic and panicky, she simply did her work. After a week she developed a fever and abdominal pain, as she had had previously, but soon had no complaints. Her digestion now works without laxatives. She plays creatively, no longer has temper tantrums and no longer starts quarrels; she had a lovely holiday. At home she is much calmer; she has "become a different child". After one month she developed a rash on her nose and an ochre-coloured coating at the root of the tongue. In the following year her behaviour at school temporarily relapsed; afterwards everything went well. In the last three years she has had no digestive complaints.
