Report: Relief measures for the earthquake areas on 1 April 2011(1), in Fukushima

Torako Yui and her team visit Fukushima, Sendai and Morioka

1_April_wir-kommen.jpg We set off from the JPHMA at 6am.
The sky was cloudless and we headed for Tohoku.
The team was led by the chairwoman of the JPHMA, Ms Torako Yui, together with staff from the Homoeopathic Association of Japan and the Japanese Institute of Homeopathy. They brought relief supplies and homeopathic remedies.
08:00 “We're coming!”

1_April_geigerzaehler.jpg
10:30 “We won't get upset about that!”
The Geiger counter showed an extremely high level of radiation beyond the measurable range.

1_April_fluss.jpg
11:00 “I hope this helps to cleanse the river as much as possible.”
Torako Yui distributed homeopathic remedies — potencies of radioactive substances (Cadmium sulfuricum, Sol., Plutonium, Kalium jodatum, Radium bromatum, Uranium nitricum, Caesium) — and remedies for PTSD(2) (post-traumatic stress disorder) into the water of a river that flows from the site of the nuclear power plants through the land of Fukushima to the Pacific.

12:00 “Buy pears from Fukushima!”
Torako Yui visited a fruit plantation in Fukushima.
She heard the residents describe their experiences during the earthquake and their current situation.
They agreed that Ms Yui would rent part of the orchard and begin a healing project for the soil contaminated by radiation.
Ms Yui used a fermented liquid called “Active Plant”, a compost-rich biomass containing beetle larvae and sunflower seeds.

14:00 “We are working together for the healing of our people”
Torako Yui visited Fukushima Prefecture and presented her donation of 1,000,000 Japanese yen from JPHMA members and homeopathy friends from around the world.
People thanked her through tears — Ms Yui herself had tears in her eyes.

1_April_fukushima_1.jpg As we drove into Fukushima we saw many houses without roofs. The earthquake had caused many waves in the ground along the roads. Our car was stopped by an unexpected road block, so we arrived half an hour late.

Meeting the people in Fukushima
Although her visit had been announced at very short notice, a large crowd awaited Torako Yui. She emphasised how deeply affected she was by the people's plight in Fukushima and how much she shared in their suffering. She encouraged them and gave practical and effective advice for coping with fear. The people thanked Ms Yui for her visit in this difficult time.

Relief measures against radiation and guidance on maintaining mental health
Ms Yui taught how to cleanse contaminated soil and the radiation-affected human body. She drew on knowledge from the experiences of Hiroshima, Nagasaki and Chernobyl.

She informed us about the possibilities of homeopathic treatment for both physical and psychological symptoms.

Surprise graduation ceremony for the students of the “Japan Royal Academy of Homeopathy”
As a result of the disaster, three students from Fukushima could not travel to Tokyo for their graduation.
Therefore Ms Yui organised a surprise graduation ceremony in Fukushima. Everyone was deeply moved when she spoke to the students and embraced them.

All participants received free homeopathic remedies, books on homeopathic treatment, dried fruit and vegetables, sunflower seeds and mineral water from the natural springs of Toya Farm.
We hope that the people of Fukushima will overcome their hardship and gradually recover from this greatest tragedy ever experienced.

Feedback

  • I feel greatly encouraged by the energy and dedication of Torako Yui. We are very grateful that she made time to come here despite her many commitments. I want to work for Japan and Fukushima, just like her.
  • We should not be afraid of the radiation, but accept that we live here and do what must be done, as Ms Yui demonstrates. The meaning of life is not merely to live a long life.
I have my task in the here and now. As a legacy of Fukushima I will advocate a shift from nuclear power to other natural energies. And of course for homeopathy!
  • What I learned today was very helpful. From now on I will live happily despite everything and believe in my natural healing power and in the effectiveness of homeopathic remedies. Long live Torako Yui! Long live homeopathy!
  • Thank you for today. I cannot thank you enough. I feel encouraged. I have learned a lot.
I believe we should look inward more and more. We will convert our farm to natural agriculture. We need homeopathy!
  • It makes me happy to see Torako Yui here. In a situation where even TV reporters are afraid to come because of radiation, where medicines are only available with great difficulty, it gives me courage that Ms Yui came to support us with her homeopathic remedies and to cleanse and heal our land. From now on I will also do my best.

Report: Relief measures for the earthquake areas on 2 April 2011, in Sendai

07:00 “No petrol!”
Torako Yui set off for Sendai. When we tried to refuel in Kunimi, the petrol had just run out shortly before we arrived, and in Sugao there was a long queue at the petrol station.

The people in Miyagi urgently need petrol!
Aftershocks of magnitude 4.0 on the Japanese scale continue along the coast and evacuations are still necessary in places.

09:30 “I am speechless...”
Wakabayashi-ku, Sendai City, was struck by the tsunami.
As we crossed the East Sendai road we found the whole area completely destroyed. While sitting in the car it hadn't affected us so much. But as soon as we got out, we felt deep sorrow that chilled us to the bone.
2_April_zerstoerung_2.jpg
We distributed our earth-healing remedy and prayed for the peace of the souls.
2_April_zerstoerung_3.jpg
It is total chaos of overturned trees, destroyed houses and water left behind by the tidal wave. Where do we begin?
2_April_zerstoerung_4.jpg

I suspect that there used to be rice fields here. But in this chaos it is impossible to tell for sure.

2_April_zerstoerung_5.jpg
Collapsed buildings, destruction everywhere. Only the rubble on the roads had been cleared away.
At the moment we see no life and no hope — yet I believe that from now on new life and new hope will germinate.
2_April_zerstoerung_6.jpg

We drove on towards Miyagi to deliver our monetary gifts collected from all over Japan.
2_April_miyagi.jpg

11:00:

1 million Japanese yen was donated by members of the JPHMA and homeopathy supporters from across Japan and handed over by Ms Yui to Miyagi Prefecture as disaster relief.
2_April_Praefektur.jpg According to staff, the very beautiful prefectural building is earthquake-proof and did not suffer much damage, but all documents and other items were scattered around the offices.
Apparently few buildings in central Sendai were destroyed.
The damage here was caused more by the tsunami than by the earthquake.

Meeting the people in Miyagi
In Miyagi there are still occasional aftershocks and there is no petrol, etc. The venue where we were to hold the seminar was damaged by the quake and closed, but we were able to hold the seminar nevertheless.
The participants expressed their appreciation: “Thank you for coming to Miyagi in such circumstances.”
2_April_miyagi_2.jpg
Torako Yui encouraged the members with her message.

Lecture on Relief measures against radiation and guidance on maintaining mental health
Torako Yui guided participants on cleansing contaminated soil and the radiation-affected human body.
She drew on knowledge from the experiences of Hiroshima, Nagasaki and Chernobyl.
She informed us about the possibilities of homeopathic treatment both for physical problems and for post-traumatic stress disorders after natural disasters, such as anxiety disorders. The participants gratefully accepted her advice.

Surprise graduation ceremony for a student of the “Japan Royal Academy of Homeopathy”
The RAH graduation
Due to the disaster a student from Miyagi could not come to Tokyo for the graduation.
The graduation was held for this student. Ms Yui embraced her and acknowledged her dedication during her training. The student was deeply moved.

Feedback

  • Thank you for coming to Miyagi in this difficult time!
Torako Yui showed us the importance of the sentence: “Why I want to survive”. All I can do is do what is possible. I have heard that children are given their own tasks (help in animal shelters, etc.) and they say: “We are happy about these tasks.” They learn important things that they couldn't learn at school. We will save Japan's future. I will give my children homeopathic remedies.

2_April_takahashi.jpg
Torako Yui and her staff applaud a homeopath, Ms Takahashi from Sendai, who worked tremendously for the population.

2_April_expack.jpg As the regular postal service was no longer functioning (except EXPACK), members of the homeopathy associations from Aomori sent relief items such as batteries, down vests and even fresh vegetables in small parcels via EXPACK.
People along Route 99 were very grateful.

Report: Relief measures for the earthquake areas on 3 April 2011, in Morioka

3_April_start.jpg
At 07:00 we left the hotel and set off for Morioka

We drove on the Sanriku Expressway towards Matsushima.
First we visited Matsushima, a former resort. We saw many heavily damaged shops, but clean-up was already underway in the town. The local people have worked hard. There are no tourists to be seen. We have never seen Matsushima so quiet. Matsushima is also famous for oyster cultivation and we fear that the fishing grounds have suffered devastating damage. Gulls flew around and pecked oysters from the damaged fishing grounds.

3_April_tsunami_1.jpg
10:30 It is incredible!
We inspected the eastern part of Matsushima where the disaster caused devastating damage.
We could hardly believe what we saw before us: that the tsunami caused such a terrible catastrophe, costing so many lives and destroying almost all the houses. Torako Yui said: “It looks like after a bombing.”
We do not know where to begin, but we must remain calm and carry on.

3_April_tsunami_2.jpg

Oku-Matsushima is about a one-hour drive from Sendai city.
As we drove along the coast the landscape changed completely as we approached the devastated town.
On 11 March 2011 at 14:46 the great earthquake struck the eastern part of Japan, especially in the Sanriku area. The clock at the Oku-Matsushima tourist information was stopped at that time.
Just one second before that time there was a town and people living their daily lives here.

3_April_tsunami_3.jpg
The collapsed Higashi-Matsushima station.

3_April_tsunami_4.jpg
This was Noberuchiku Harbour. The town has been completely swept away.
It is an absolutely devastating situation and we cannot even say what used to be here and what kind of lives the people who lived here led. We are stunned, we cannot even cry and cannot believe that all this is real. We have no words left. We only keep asking ourselves what we can do.

3_April_tsunami_5.jpg
We pour remedies to cleanse the earth and for the peace of the souls.

We leave eastern Matsushima and drive on towards Morioka.

3_April_fukushima.jpg

13:00 “We live in hard times. That is why we must help one another!”
As chairwoman of the JPHMA, Torako Yui handed over 1,000,000 Japanese yen from JPHMA members and homeopathy colleagues from around the world to the disaster response headquarters of the Prefectural Social and Health Office for the Fukushima catastrophe. They accepted the money even though it was Sunday and the office was officially closed and thanked her many times — many military vehicles were parked in front of the prefectural office.

Meeting the people in Fukushima - Relief measures against radiation and guidance on maintaining mental health

3_April_iwata_1.jpg
Odette Square, Meeting the people in Iwate
Meeting the people in Fukushima
In Iwate Prefecture it was reported that 3,500 people were killed; 4,500 are still missing.
As this seminar was arranged at very short notice, we expected only a few participants, but many elderly and young people who had heard about it waited at the venue. There were not enough seats and we had to improvise.

When Torako Yui arrived, it was very moving to see students and homeopaths run to her in tears to express their gratitude. Ms Yui, who had visited the worst-affected area along the Sanriku coast shortly before the lecture, read a poem she had written with a trembling voice, in which she remembered all the people who had lost their lives in this catastrophe.

When people experience such strong shocks they are often stunned and cannot even cry; they cannot accept reality. We could see how the participants gradually relaxed through the effect of Ms Yui's speech.

Relief measures against radiation and guidance on maintaining mental health
3_April_iwata_2.jpg
Torako Yui explained to the audience how knowledge from the experiences of Hiroshima, Nagasaki and Chernobyl can be applied and spoke about the homeopathic approach to cleansing contaminated soil and the radiation-affected human body.

She informed her listeners about the possibilities of homeopathic self-treatment both for physical and psychological symptoms so that they could protect themselves from the effects of post-traumatic stress disorder. In her lecture she gave many pointers for us, who no longer live in harmony with nature and God and thus have brought about this extraordinary nuclear catastrophe, and said that we must become aware of this. At the end of her speech there was great applause and many questions from the audience.

Surprise graduation ceremony for a student of the “Japan Royal Academy of Homeopathy”
3_April_iwata_4.jpg Together with all participants a graduation ceremony was held for a student who could not come to the ceremony in Tokyo because of the disaster. Torako Yui embraced her and celebrated her achievement, which she had earned through her hard work over the past four years. The student thanked her in tears for the ceremony.

We all sympathised with the people of Iwate. Torako Yui attracted great attention with her three-day relief action for Tohoku.
We accept the divine yoke. Those who have been harmed by this catastrophe will become aware of it first. Because the people in Tohoku are persevering and can endure, they will find the strength to overcome this trial. We, the members of the JPHMA, hope that the seed of homeopathy will spread in Iwate and heal the earth and the hearts of the people. We hope that homeopathy will one day help people to find happiness by returning to their natural healing power, regaining faith in themselves and their bodies, and passing this knowledge on to future generations.

Homeopathic remedies and homeopathy books, dried fruit and vegetables, organic miso paste, sunflower seeds and water from Toya, etc., were distributed by the JPHMA to all residents of the three prefectures of Tohoku.

Under the patronage of the JPHMA short consultations were also offered by professional homeopaths and homeopathy students, who looked after the many people traumatised by the disaster.

Feedback

  • Thank you for the wonderful lecture. I greatly appreciate that you hold your seminars free of charge.
  • Your powerful voice cheered me up and gave me the strength to go on living. I want to do my best to live in Morioka with foresight and gratitude. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for having come this long way and cleansed and healed our earth.
  • Your lecture today made me think about how I want to live from now on. I will soon have a baby and am concerned about radiation exposure. I want to prepare for the birth of my child with the help of homeopathic remedies so that I can be in a peaceful mental state. True happiness does not arise from possessions and money, but from finding myself.
  • I will strengthen my immune system through homeopathy in order to face the situation without fear. I want to learn more about homeopathy.
  • Torako Yui's words touched my heart. They gave me a feeling of peace, taught me never to give up and gave me good energy. Thank you!

18:00 Return to Tokyo

We were able to complete this relief mission in Fukushima, Miyagi and Iwata safely.
We promised all the people we met during these three days that we would learn something from this suffering and continue living courageously.
Torako Yui visited many of the affected areas, provided homeopathic remedies for the repose of the souls and prayed for them from the bottom of her heart.

She fought contamination from radiation and delivered the collected donations to the sites to support the people and the affected areas. We held seminars attended by more than 300 people and hope that these homeopathy seminars could give new courage, hope and energy — not only to the people in the places we visited but also to the people in all the affected areas of Tohoku.
