Fleas? The solution is homeopathy.

Hello! It’s me again, Buster, the cheeky office dog!

While my friends and I are trying to pant our way through the long, hot summer days, I want to remind you of what I hate most: fleas!

I’m serious: how can such a tiny creature be so annoying? (Although, I think my owner once said the same thing about me – back when I had my terrible episodes.)

Anyway, I’m a very happy little dog because fleas have never been an issue for me. Maybe they leave me alone because I’m so silly (as you can easily tell from the smart bow tie round my neck). But recently I heard about a friend who had a really bad problem with them.

Laddie had to scratch, rub and bite constantly; he nearly lost his mind because of it! He was always nipping at his rear – where his tail joins his body seemed to itch the most. It went on until the spot became sore and his fur started coming out in clumps.

It’s hard to fool around without any fur.

I wish I could have helped Laddie, because my owner Joette knows a great homeopathic protocol that she has used many times and would be happy to share with you.

To make the itching less severe and to get the fleas to clear off quickly (and not come back), she uses Psorinum C200, Ledum palustre C200 and Antimonium crudum C6.

And here’s how it works: at the first signs of a flea infestation – one dose of Psorinum C200 once a week; one dose of Ledum C200 twice daily; one dose of Antimonium crudum C6 two to three times a day.

Give these remedies in that order until the fleas are gone and the dog stops scratching and nibbling. So, you need to keep it up until all symptoms have disappeared.

This treatment also prevents a flea infestation because it makes the dog unattractive to those pesky critters. And believe me – all my friends agree that we should be as ugly as possible to fleas!

By the way: I heard my owner tell someone that there is another treatment alternative. A dog can also take Psorinum C30 once daily until the symptoms disappear (so no Ledum, no Antimonium crudum). My owner hasn’t tried it herself, but if a simpler approach is needed, it’s worth testing this protocol. Maybe you can tell us about your experiences with it.

Of course there are other ways to prevent a flea infestation (i.e. before you see the things) – there are plenty of smart herbal collars. They should just not clash with the bow tie round my neck!

Sorry, I must go … there’s a squirrel back there …
