Electricitas and Acidum aceticum

Case:
60-year-old woman, anaemic, waxy, sickly, sensitive, irritable.
A hepatitis B infection twenty years ago would have taken her life. Since then she has been unable to eat, tolerates hardly anything any more: no meat, no fish, no milk. She also had glomerulonephritis; the kidney was shedding renal tissue.
Did she have bad dreams? Yes, she used to have nightmares, repeatedly seeing toppled power pylons, ruined houses; then there would always come a thin thread, which was dreadful — she wanted to touch it, but the touch was so terrible that she woke up in a panic. (I think it was an electric cable.) — Was she sensitive to electricity? Yes, very much; she pulls out all the plugs every night, then she sleeps better. She often gets a shock from door handles. She had something against electricity, but was fascinated by thunderstorms.
Hospital diagnoses: Haematuric glomerulopathy; pyelonephritic scar on the right; nephrolithiasis; status post hepatitis B and cholecystectomy; bilateral coxarthrosis; chronic spinal syndrome.
Her colour choice was 22-23C.
Analysis, course:
Because of the nephrosis, her waxy appearance and her frail, irritable nature, I liked the suggestion from the colour repertory at 23C: Acet-ac, the acetic acid, which exactly matches this remedy picture (see Boericke). The patient was given a C6 every other day.
Over the next three months she improved. She was less exhausted, more composed, but the liver began to hurt again, and the stools were very pale (bile drainage disturbed); everything regressed somewhat. Acet-ac was stopped and, as a trial, Electricitas MK was given (the dreams resemble an electric shock, and she is so sensitive to electricity).
After two days she had a pulling in the throat, as if a necklace were too short; she had previously had hypothyroidism and it had been like that then — she remembers the sensation exactly. On the third day the right popliteal fossa burned up to the buttock and the liver hurt; the right kidney also burned. The upper lip throbbed, and there was a pulling through the nose (she had had it broken 22 years ago because her husband hit her). Then she had a sensation as if all the vertebrae were being tapped from bottom to top. That lasted two days, and then she passed an enormous amount of stool. Afterwards all complaints stopped abruptly.
Since then she has been free of symptoms. She is again capable of work, can eat again and is very satisfied. That was 15 years ago.
