The patient was diagnosed HIV-positive in April 2010. He immediately started antiretroviral therapy (ARV). His CD4 (1) count was 136 at that time, and has now fallen to 98, indicating treatment failure - the ARV medications have stopped working. |

| He has pain and swelling in both legs. Before he began ARV therapy he suffered frequent diarrhoea, now only occasionally. | |

His main complaint is that he feels extremely weak, especially when walking. Doing physical work or covering long distances on foot is very difficult for him; his legs feel heavy. But if he cannot work, he has no money to feed his family. |

The theme of water plays an important role in this case: frequent, scanty urination, sweating, diarrhoea and swelling. Water is a key theme for Neon, which expresses itself in physical symptoms, dreams and thoughts. His dream of blessing people is typical of the 'spiritual teacher' aspect of Neon, as are his contentment and lack of concern about his adverse life circumstances, his illness and the fact that his wife has left him. |

Six weeks later: "Thank you very much, the remedy has helped me a lot! I feel much better." |

| His appetite has improved; he now eats much more. Previously he had no appetite and could sometimes go two days without eating. The dizziness has gone. He sees much better and can now even read again. Urination has normalised; it is no longer too frequent or scanty. The night sweating has stopped. He no longer has numbness in the extremities and sleeps much better. He has had no dreams. He is much better, feels comfortable in himself, strong and healthy. | |

Three months later: he is doing well all round. The remedy helped him greatly. His legs are much better; he has no pain or swelling. He has a good appetite and feels strong. All other symptoms have much improved. "There are no more problems." The CD4 values have not yet been rechecked. |

Six months after the start of treatment he came to see me in a suit (very unusual in Africa). He had dressed particularly smartly to thank me. He is well and feels strong. He works and earns money. The CD4 cell count has risen to 248. |
