James Tyler Kent
1849-1916
The greatest homeopath of his time, Kent was born in 1849 in New York state, USA.
Initially a follower of the Eclectic school, he soon became an ardent proponent of Hahnemann's methods.
For many years, he was a professor at several of the premier homeopathic colleges in the USA, including at the Hering Medical College and the Hahnemann Medical College in Chicago.
His famous repertory became the template for most modern repertories.
His death in 1916 saw the end of an era.
