Rhodiola Rosea Rosenwurz Extrakt Kapseln von Unimedica werden ohne Zusätze aus den kräftigen Pfahlwurzeln des Rosenwurz, der „Goldenen Wurzel“, hergestellt. Der Rosenwurz ist ein sukkulentes Dickblattgewächs. Es gedeiht in den arktischen Gebieten und Gebirgsregionen Nordamerikas und Eurasiens. Sowohl die Wurzel als auch die oberen Pflanzenteile duften charakteristisch nach Rosen, wenn sie angeschnitten werden. Daher stammt der Name Rosenwurz.

Rosenwurz-Extrakt und Rosenwurz-Tee werden in der russischen, baltischen und skandinavischen Volksmedizin schon seit langer Zeit verwendet. Sie enthalten wertvolle Inhaltsstoffe wie die phenolischen Glycoside Rosavin und Salidrosid.
