Cacao is a tropical tree native to Central and South America. Its fruit is best known as the main ingredient in chocolate, though it is increasingly being consumed for its nutritional value as well as its taste. Our Cacao is typically grown by local cooperatives. The green pods containing the Cacao beans are hand picked. The flesh surrounding the beans is then allowed to ferment away, a process that enhances the unique flavour of the bean. The beans are then broken into small pieces, known as nibs.

    sehr bitter aber gute Inhaltsstoffe
    Ich mische mir die Kakao Nibs in meinen Quark oder auch in den Teig meiner Pancakes und finde sie vom Geschmack doch recht bitter, auch wenn mir bewusst ist, dass sie nicht süß sein konnten. Mir ist auch lieber zu wissen, dass die Nibs ohne hinzugefügten Zucker sind und eher einen gesundheitlichen Mehrwert bringen.
    Nach Rücksprache mit einer Mitarbeiterin von Narayana, die ich um ihre Einschätzung gebeten habe, sollten sie allerdings schon einen schokoladigen Geschmack haben, der wirklich sehr gering ist nach meinem empfinden.
    Ich kann sie gut als Zugabe zu meinen Gerichten verwenden und die Inhaltsstoffe/ Benefits sprechen sehr für die Nibs.
    Mit 300g komme ich erstmal lange hin, da ich nie mehr als 10g pro Portion verwende.
    Ich ziehe einen Stern für den doch sehr bitteren Geschmack ab ansonsten tolles Produkt und tolle wiederverschließbare Verpackung     read more ...
