A masterpiece! The periodic table of the elements has been a proven system since Mendeleev for describing and predicting the chemical and physical properties of all the elements of the material universe. But its homeopathic interpretation had to wait until our time. Scholten discovered the themes of the elements from their position in the periodic table. Only the lanthanides are not yet described in this book.
All elements in the horizontal rows are characterised by a common theme, which is called a series. These seven series were named after their best-known elements. Thus, for example, there is a carbon series (characterised by problems with childlike values, weak ego and body image in general); an iron series (problems with work, duty, routine and rules); a silver series (corresponding to creativity and publicity, the communication of ideas, e.g. in artists, top athletes, middle management), and so on.
Each series is divided into a maximum of 18 stages. The 18 stages correspond to the electron configuration in the outer atomic shell and thus to the chemical behaviour of the respective element. In the homeopathic sense these stages are the individual developmental levels of each series. Therefore, through a living understanding of the series and stages, every element can be understood and made usable for homeopathic application. The crossing points of the series and stages define an exact theme for each element. As a result, almost any conceivable situation can be represented by a combination of certain elements.
This yields an enormous potential for homeopathic prescribing, provided that this new system is really understood. A most rewarding study, and from our own experience we can say that many patients have benefited from this new jewel of homeopathy.
