Chondroitin is also found in the connective tissue as well as the bones. Chondroitin is the main component of the cartilage. With increasing age the body's own production of this substance decreases.
Vitamin C is not produced in sufficient amounts by the body and must therefore be provided from the food intake. Vitamin C supports normal collagen formation so that the bones and cartilage can function normally.
