Der sogenannte Vitamin B-Komplex wird aus acht B-Vitaminen gebildet. Zu diesen zählen: Vitamin B1 (Thiamin), Vitamin B2 (Riboflavin), Vitamin B3 (Niacin), Vitamin B5 (Pantothensäure), Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxin), Vitamin B7 (Biotin), Vitamin B9 (Folsäure) und Vitamin B12 (Cobalamin).

Sie unterscheiden sich, abgesehen von der Wasserlöslichkeit, nicht nur in ihrer Bezeichnung und ihrem Aufbau, sondern auch in ihren Aufgaben im Körper, die sich nur zum Teil überschneiden. So arbeiten alle acht synergetisch zusammen.
