Sankaran, Desai, Vyas: Lying in ambush
The authors of the International Academy of Advanced Homeopathy ‘the other song’ in Mumbai first give an overview of the biology and homeopathically relevant characteristics of the snakes. They then present three cases showing how the general themes of the animal kingdom, the class of reptiles, and the suborder of the snakes can influence humans as their ‘other song’ The victim-aggressor pattern is clearer than for many other animal remedies, manifesting in all patients as dictatorial behaviour and a pronounced tendency to anger and aggression. Crotalus cascavella has the greatest potential for violence. In the Naja case, the general animal theme of inner duality is especially noticeable. In the Lachesis case the sensation of constriction is central and, as with Naja, the fear of suffocation.
