Jan Scholten: My Position in the relationship

The eight elements of the Silicium series correspond to the eight phases that play an essential role in the author‘s system of plants. Each phase marks a level in the development of relationships and belonging to a group. In the first three phases the relationship is being built up, from the position of the outsider Natrium via the shy, conformist, and dependent Magnesium to the indecisive, unstable, and confused Aluminium. At the zenith of development, Silicium is in a stable relationship characterized by acceptance and loyalty. In phases five to eight the relationship breaks down again: Phosphorus strives for expansion, Sulphur feels exploited and abused, Chlorum is stuck in a divorce war, and Argon is completely disconnected. Examples from the plant kingdom supplement the depiction of the phases.

keywords: Asparagales, Boraginaceae, Chlorum, Cornaceae, Dioscorea, elements, Lamiaceae, Liliales, Natrium muriaticum, Oleaceae, periodic table, phases, plant theory, Silicium series, stages, subphases
