Massimo Mangialavori: Caught in repetition compulsion
Using the example of tarantism, the authors explain the significance of anthropology –
especially of rituals, myths, and archetypes – for the understanding of homeopathic remedies. In this cultural ritual we can recognise many themes and symptoms of the spider remedies such as the restless energy, pent-up rage, association with rhythm, wild dancing, dissolution of a sense of time, and the compulsion to repeat.
