In a critical assessment of the available evidence concerning clinical studies on homeopathic treatment, the author identifies the particular challenges of this research area, from differing methods
of remedy selection to the quality of therapists and the development of specific designs for studies with individualised remedy selection. Using examples of particular illnesses, such as fibromyalgia and ADHD, the author discusses the evidence from randomised controlled trials (RCTs) and pragmatic studies as the prerequisite for clinical practice guidelines on homeopathic intervention for the treatment of particular illnesses.
