Learning from Experience
Farokh Master here covers the work of Hahnemann and the theme of mental illness, which is also reflected in the Organon, through to the current unsatisfactory state of affairs whereby there is a lack of homeopathy clinics specializing in this area. He thereby makes clear that our materia medica is still deficient in deep-seated psychiatric symptoms, since our remedy provings never reach such advanced states of illness. So we can only really learn from clinically cured cases.
These considerations inform the presentation by the well-known Indian homeopath, who has given many talks around the world, in which he shows several cases of bipolar disorder.
With two rather different cases of Heroinum, he emphasizes the syphilitic aspect of this disorder, sketching a lively picture of the characteristic features of this drug remedy.
Farokh Master also helpfully establishes the differential diagnosis with Opium, Bitis arietans and Crotalus cascavella.
