The last edition of this book was printed in Feb’2003. The popularity of this book and its appreciation among students of Homeopathy has encouraged the publisher to reprint it again. For the better understanding of the subject, the matter has been rearranged and some additions have been done. Trustees are happy to place before you the hard and continuous efforts of Rai Bahadur Bishamber Das in the form of this book. 'Select Your Remedy' contains the essence of Homeopathic Literature. It is a treatise of forty-five years of practical experience of the author, a well known and popular figure of his time in Homoeopathy. His 'Free Dispensary' was and is frequented by hundreds of patients daily for over 70 years.

Convinced by the efficiency of Homeophathic system and its usefulness the author has planned this book in a way so as to make Homeopathy easily understandable and within the reach of all. This book follows the pattern of a 'Repertory' of Homeopathic-Materia Medica. The presentation is simple as such serves as 'Homeopathy made Easy'. At the same time it is a 'Useful Guide for Practitioners of Homeo-System of Medicine'. Presentation is from head to foot.
A classic on Homeopathy, 'Select Your Remedy' has earned universal acclaim not only in India but also abroad and is now available in Hindi also, lt is advised to consult Boericke's Matheria Medica also for detailed study and to understand which medicines follow well, which are inimical.

In the beginning, this book was distributed free of cost. Some friends competed Rai Bahadur not only to put his experience in the form of this book but also helped him in getting it printed and distributed free of cost. A group of devoted volunteers and disiples of Rai Bahadur are managing the free dispensary for the last more than seventy years, and even after his demise about forty years ago. This is a testimony of the selfless spirit of his followers. In this regard special thanks are due to Dr. Ramgopal, Sant Singh, Jitendra Nath, Ajit Singh Baran, Jaswant Singh, and S.S. Giani. Thanks are also due to Sardar Balwant Singh a business magnate of defence colony, Major General and Ex. Lt. Govemor, Himmat Singh Ji and Hotel Magnate Ram Prasad for their support and regards to Rai Bahadur Saheb and his Free Dispensary. Special thanks are also due to Rai Bahadur Hakumat Rai who at the ripe age of seventy-five years and at the cost of his health helped the author a lot in publishing this book.
