The manufacturer writes:
DOGenesis Probiotic – to support the natural gut flora, this contains replication-competent lactic acid forming bacteria of the strain Enterococcus faecium, termed probiotic. They survive the passage through the stomach unscathed and multiply rapidly in the small intestine. Enterococcus faecium stabilise and improve the composition of gut flora in dogs and cats, so improving their well-being.
DOGenesis Probiotic also contains inulin, a prebiotic fibre, which supports the development of a natural, physiologically balanced gut flora with a high lactic acid content. The recipe also contains skimmed milk yoghurt powder, which is fermented with Lactobacillus bulgaricus, Lactobacillus lactis and Streptococcus thermophilus, and also has a beneficial effect on the gut milieu. The administration of DOGenesis Probiotic is especially recommended following antibiotic treatment, in situations of stress or following a change of food, in order to help re-establish the physiological gut flora.
