Organic Matcha powder: a tea with tradition
Organic Matcha powder is finely ground green tea. This is exactly what its name means: “ground tea”. It is part of the Japanese tea tradition and is considered the meditation tea of Japanese monks.

Matcha is made from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis tea plant and contains numerous nutrients and secondary plant substances. Among other things, they are responsible for its intense green color and its characteristic mildly sweet to bitter taste. The effect of its valuable ingredients and the unique aroma make Japanese green tea so popular. In addition, the typical ingredients of green tea are found in matcha tea in higher concentrations than in other types of tea. This is due to a special cultivation method:

All green for an ambitious start to the day
The tea bushes selected for matcha production are fully shaded before harvesting. This promotes the concentration of the valuable ingredients. In addition to many secondary plant substances, matcha tea contains a relatively high amount of caffeine. It also contains unsaturated fatty acids. The plant pigment chlorophyll develops more strongly due to the shading and gives the leaves their intense dark green color. Tannins develop the special aroma.

The delicate side of tea from controlled organic cultivation
The tea bushes for our organic matcha powder grow under strictly controlled organic conditions in Japan. This ensures that the tea remains naturally pure and free from harmful substances. The tea is also carefully tested for purity and quality in certified laboratories.

Only the fine leaf tissue is used for matcha powder. After harvesting, the tea leaves are steamed, dried and crushed to gently separate all other leaf components from the delicate tissue structures. Matcha powder is characterized by this extraordinary tea quality.

Recommended consumption:

Stir 1/2 teaspoon (approx.1 g) Matcha in 80 ml of warm, no longer boiling (80° C) water until a foam forms on the surface. Also suitable as an addition to homemade juices or smoothies.

Storage:

Store well closed, cool, dry and dark in an airtight container. We recommend to consume the product within 21 days after the first opening.
