Habe das Buch erst seit Kurzem, daher nur teils punktuell, teils quer gelesen. Ich kann es aber jedem (auch zukünftigen) Hundehalter wärmstens empfehlen. Hier treffen sich Wissenschaftl. Fakten, kompaktes Wissen und Erfahrung, teils an Fallbeispielen anschaulich erklärt. Zusammenhänge, die auch der interessierte Laie gut versteht. Die Interaktionen diverser Organe und ihrer Funktionen, sowie deren Beeinflussung durch bestimmte Nahrungsmittel (z.B. Interaktion Leber und Schilddrüse) ist einleuchtend und gut beschrieben. - Was m.E. fehlt zum gezielten Nachschlagen: im Stichwörterverzeichnis ein genaueres Symptomen- bzw. Krankheits-Verzeichnis. - Desweiteren mag bei manchen Begriffen die Übersetzung vom Englischen ursächlich für etwas Rätsel sorgen. Beispiel: "Roh-Honig", womit sicherlich "naturbelassener Honig" bzw. "Imkerhonig" gemeint sein dürfte. - Hervorragend und sehr hilfreich finde ich die Zusammenfassung der wichtigsten Punkte jeweils zum Ende eines jeden Kapitels. Auf den Punkt gebracht. - Da mein Hund roh, bzw. naturnah gefüttert wird: insgesamt ein für mich bedeutsames Buch und eine gute Hilfe zur täglichen und jetzt auch "logischen" Futterzusammenstellung. - Daher 5 Sterne. read more ...
