A modern proving of the snake remedy known in homeopathy as Toxicophis pugnax (from Allen's Encyclopedia) which now has the accepted name Agkistrodon piscivorus and the common name moccasin snake or cottonmouth.
In the recent years, a lot of work has been done in the field of Homoeopathic Provings and this is a small attempt at proving hitherto scantily proved and unknown drugs.

The idea occurred to me during my seminar in Vienna in 1995, when Dr. Walter Gluck of Soos, Austria, informed me about the international competition of Drag Proving.
The proving was started in April 19% and continued till August 1998.
