The publisher:

Pressures from various quarters have been mounting on me to bring its second edition since a long time. Due to busy professional set up and other hectic activities, it was not possible to comply with the demands in time. However, the second edition is brought out.

The objective of this new edition is by and large mentioned in the preface of the first edition and strengthened those objectives additionally. Some previous themes have been modified; added or rewritten so that this book could serve the fresh researchers in a better way of writing their report. In this edition, a few chapters have also been incorporated, out of which the chapter "Research: An Introduction" deserves special attention. In this chapter, I have endeavored to highlight the concept of research and scientific methods so that the word "Research" can be understood in its truer perspective by the new entrants into P.G. course. Moreover, the subject matters of this book have been treated in a simple and non-technical manner so that even a neophyte (or a lay man of general interest)- can make out the art of thesis writing in a straightforward manner.

I have tried my level best to include all the useful and necessary information of thesis writing in this edition; still I cannot claim its perfection. How far I have succeeded in this mission, you are the ultimate evaluator. Your constructive suggestions will be duly accredited in the forthcoming edition.
