Foreword:

Dr. Surya Pada Dey is one of those few living homoeopaths because of whom Kolkata enjoys its present position of honour and pride in the homoeopathic world and is called "The Mecca of homoeopathy." I am principally against subdividing the homeopaths by classifying them as classical homeopaths, Hahnemannian homoeopaths etc. but Dr. S.P. Dey since his early career has always been a flag bearer and staunch practitioner of homoeopathic system of medicine. It is my honour to know this septuagenarian ardent pupil of Hahnemann since his student life. In our long association of more man 40 years, I have known him as a student when he was my batch-mate, as a sincere physician, as a dedicated teacher, as an honest author and now as my neighbor.
The present book is a compilation of different booklets published earlier on the subject. All the writings of Dr. Dey on nosodes are now being published in one volume, which is a correct decision, as it will not only make the reading easier and more meaningful but will also be easy for regular handling and reference by the readers. The way Dr. Dey has suggested the use of nosodes (i.e. as block-removers) is one of the best ways to prescribe them. His directions of the use of some of the nosodes in the book are expected to guide many learners to the correct path. The cases described by him, will not only correctly show the way to find the similimum and to prescribe but will go a long way in showing the magic of homoeopathy.
I am sure the profession will appreciate the present compilation as it has appreciated the earlier works of Dr. S.P. Dey.
I wish the author a healthy and long life and the book a still longer one.
